Our Journey
Omnes Purple is a live, multidisciplinary performance project created by Jasmine Williams, a Houston-based DJ, producer, filmmaker, and performance artist. The project merges sound, choreography, and cinematic visual environments to create immersive experiences that transform stages, galleries, and public spaces.
Omnes Purple debuted as a full-stage performance at MATCH in Houston, marking a major milestone in the project’s evolution as a touring-ready work. Since its debut, the project has continued to expand through collaborations with choreographers, visual artists, and community partners, with versions tailored for festivals, cultural institutions, and educational programming.
At its core, Omnes Purple is both a performance and a platform—centering creative collaboration, honoring Black Southern cultural memory, and imagining new futures through live audiovisual storytelling.
Rooted in Houston’s musical legacy and Afrofuturist aesthetics, Omnes Purple blends chopped-and-screwed–inspired soundscapes with large-scale projections, movement, and atmospheric lighting. Each performance functions as a living universe—scalable from intimate gallery installations to full theatrical productions—designed to engage audiences across music, visual art, and dance.
